Breathwork Waiver

I understand that if I am taking any medications or have any medical conditions such as, but not being limited to:

  • Schizophrenia

  • Unmedicated bipolar disorder or psychosis

  • Unmanaged PTSD

  • Epilepsy or seizures

  • Heart conditions or arrhythmia

  • COPD or pre-existing lung conditions

  • Delicate and/or first trimester pregnancy

  • High blood pressure (hypertension)

  • Very low blood pressure with fainting history (hypotension)

  • Severe asthma,

  • Glaucoma and/or detached retina

  • Severe osteoporosis

  • Recent major surgery

I agree to inform Vicky of any of these that may affect me.

In any of these cases, modified practice options may be offered to you. The facilitator may on
occasion advise that breathwork is not suitable for you. We also advise that people experiencing
panic attacks and high anxiety levels use a modified practice.
Please let us know if you have recently been using micro-dosing protocols

 

Your agreement

Whilst I have been accepted as a participant for this session, I accept responsibility for any consequence resulting from this practice.

Vicky Westgarth/Gaia and the girl is not a substitutes for consulting your GP or primary medical care provider.

In the event of any known medical conditions, I certify that I have consulted a health professional regarding any condition (physical, mental or emotional) that could interfere with my judgment or affect my health in any way during, or after the session.

In person sessions only:
I am aware that appropriate touch may be used for the purpose of supporting my wellbeing and comfort. Touch will only be used with your express informed consent.

I have read this waiver and confirm that I take full responsibility for my own health and wellbeing.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that exceptional circumstances are unavoidable, and you may need to cancel. Please call or text me on 07912945604 to cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours before your scheduled time.  You must call in advance to avoid being charged for the missed appointment.

 

Late Arrivals 

When attending a session, Please arrive 10 minutes before the session start time.  The session will start promptly and the door will be locked on the start time advertised.  Any late entries will not be allowed in.  Hopefully you will understand this.

                                                                       What to expect
  • The session will last approx 90 minutes. If in person please turn up 10/15 minutes before the time stated so you can get comfortable before the session starts. The session will start at exactly 730pm and the door will be locked. Any late arrivals will not be allowed to come in. If on zoom I will open the room 5 minutes before the slotted time for people to get logged on.

  • Wear comfortable loose clothing. Tight waistbands and underwired bras are not advisable.

  • Please bring a water bottle. Feel free to bring a note pad and pen to write anything down once we have completed the session.

  • Yoga matts, blankets and eye masks will be provided.

  • You can also bring an item for resourcing if you wish ie a favourite pillow or blanket or teddy.

  • Before the session please read the waiver form and be aware of the contraindications. Please inform me of any contraindications as this will affect the way you breath through the session.

  • Try to not eat a heavy meal a few hours before our session, if you do we will have to stick to nose breathing rather than through the mouth.

  • Please do not drink alcohol or take any drugs at least 24 hours before the session.

  • If the session is a Zoom session please find a space that you can ideally lay down (if sitting is preferred that is fine) and feel safe to experience whatever comes up during the session.​​​

 

                                                                                Aftercare

A lot of emotion can come up during a CCB session. Then again it may not and it may come up 1/2/3 days later, or you might not even go there for your first few sessions. What we experience is different for each and everyone of us.

  • Please be gentle with yourself.

  • Drink plenty of water and try to avoid alcohol/drugs at least 24 hours after a breath work session.

  • Get a good amount of sleep. Be aware of your dreams and try to journal if anything comes up in your dreams.
